Everyone knows that you enter phrases in Google to get search results in the form of text, images and videos. But, did you know that rather than entering “search words” you can also enter a “Search image”?

Let’s say you took a picture of a house, coin or even a 20 year-old prom dress and you want to learn more about the item. To do the reverse image search go to Google Images, then click the camera. Upload the image and see the search results.

Google tries to match the image, find similar images and gives you more information about what it believes is in the picture.

My daughter used this feature recently to find the value of stamps in her collection. Give it a try. It is pretty amazing.
