Facebook messenger has some unique features including the ability to have secret conversations.
Secret conversation use end-to-end encryption, which mean no one other than the recipient can read the information – not even Facebook. Use secret conversations when you want to send personal information like: addresses or passcodes. If a hacker grabs the data they can’t read it.
To send a Private encrypted Message, tap on the recipients name at the top of the chat window. Tap Secret Conversation. The private messages have black message bubbles and a tiny lock pad displayed next to the recipient’s icon.
Never send personal information over wi-fi networks unless it is encrypted.
